About this Event
Explore Middle Cove which is a small peninsular bush suburb between Castlecrag and Castlecove planned by Walter Burley Griffin and was included as part of Griffin's orginal land purchase which included Castlecrag.
On this two hour walk you will go back in time to see some of Sydney's best domestic architecture from the 1950's to today's contemporary architecture which includes houses by architects Neville Gruzman, Bruce Rickard, Sydney Ancher and Arthur Baldwinson.
Discover how the architects designed their houses to interact with the landscape and bush with volunteer tour leader Ben Gerstel. This wonderful walking tour starts at Harold Reid Reserve - a large national park.
All attendees will be reminded to maintain a social distance of 1.5 metres from one another on the day.
Please arrive at the start point 5-10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time and wear comfortable walking shoes. Bring a hat and/or umbrella - tours operate regardless of weather. Parking available on street.
